An ingrown toenail can be very painful and uncomfortable, and can make it difficult to walk. Here are suggestions to help prevent them, courtesy of the US National Library of Medicine and HealthDay.
Take action:
Make sure your shoes fit correctly and comfortably; keep toenails trimmed straight across, and don’t cut them too short; always keep your feet clean and dry; diabetics need to regularly inspect and care for their feet, and frequently have them examined by a doctor.
